Couple’s Shower | Olivia + Gavin

It was such a joy to film Olivia and Gavin’s couples shower in Plano, Tx. The whole event was very whimsical and everyone in attendance was wearing attire as if they were at the Renaissance Fair. This was very on brand for the two of them and couldn’t have been more perfect for their love story. The two of them got married early June at Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Arkansas and it was just as magical and earthy as you would have hoped for the two of them.

After photographing the couples’ engagement photos, we had been in the talks for me to shoot their couples shower on super 8mm. I was super excited for this opportunity as it brings me so much joy personally, and it makes me even happier to hear my clients be just as excited about the film as I am.

My goal with Super 8mm films are to document the day as it was so you can feel how the day felt not how it was morphed into looking. Looking back at their film, it makes me just as happy as I felt to be there documenting everything the day of. It was such a fun and playful event and I feel I was really able to capture that for them. After delivering the video, I had them send me a video of the two of them reviewing it for the first time and I have attached that video at the end of this post.
