Wedding on Super 8mm Film | Sabrina + Jonathan

It was such a joy to film Sabrina + Jonathan’s wedding in Scurry, Tx. As one of the first events I was able to document on Super 8mm film, it turned out better than I could have imagined. I learned a lot throughout the day and while editing their film and I am forever grateful they took a chance with me and allowed me the opportunity to shoot video for their big day. The couple loved the results as much as I did and that makes it even better.

For an intimate southern wedding, their big day was filled with lots of love, laugh and memories to last a lifetime.. My personal favorite aspect of their big day, was the first look the groom had with his best man. It was so fun and playful and i’m sure he’ll always remember it. I know wedding days can get stressful but it’s important to remember to keep things fun and be able to go with the flow. I think this is something Sabrina and Jonathan did perfectly,

The crowd favorite of the night was definitely the dinosaur that made its grand appearance during the reception. Although it was obviously not a real dinosaur and instead was just a person in an inflatable suit, it was a very fun and playful way to get the kids to enjoy themselves and help the adults to loosen up a little. It’s the little things like this that help add some spunk to a wedding celebration and help to take away any nerves that could have been there for one reason or another.
