Engagement Session | Katie + Dillon
There’s not too much more authentic for Katie and Dillon than an alternative downtown engagement announcement session followed by some gluten free pizza. I met Katie and Dillon at one of the M-Line Trolley stops in Dallas, Texas to start their session. After Katie finished drawing up their announcement sign, we took a short trip around a few stops in Uptown and walked around exploring all the cute little shops. I love when clients of mine are willing to explore with me, because we always get such fun shots with the all unexpected scenarios that occur. These two were so excited to share their big news with the world and it was so sweet seeing people stop and congratulate them. After walking around uptown for a little bit, we went to Grimaldi’s, and got a gluten free pizza- a Katie staple since she found out she was allergic to gluten.
The two lovers are scheduled to be married this November at Union House. I’m more than honored to be the photographer they chose to document their big day and I can’t wait to see how everything looks after all of their hard work and planning comes together. Katie mentioned in passing the potential of some fun hair shots (since she’s a hairstylist) during their getting ready photos and I can’t wait to see what comes of that. She’s my stepsister and I am so happy she was able to find such a fun and caring spouse who fits right in with the rest of the family. I know he’ll take great care of her over the years and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for the two of them.
